We have two types of notifications:
- Service-related notifications
- Optional notifications
Service-Related Notifications are directly related to maintaining or updating the user’s account or services and are essential for the user to remain informed about their account or service status.
Other Notifications are primarily to keep users informed or engaged, but not essential for account maintenance. These are optional as they enhance user experience but are not crucial for service continuity.
Service-related Notification Messages
We currently automatically notify you about certain service-related activities such as:
- Account updates, security alerts, payment confirmations, subscription changes, or important changes to terms of service.
- If you were invited to join a Team
- When someone signed up using your personal referral link
- A new Moment message (appreciation/kudos/thanks) was written to you
- If a Moment message you sent was rejected due to our quality review checks
Opting in or out of Other Notifications
In addition to the above, there are a number of notifications that you can opt in or out of receiving, they are:
- Announcements and Updates; Product updates, tips, new features, improvements and bug fixes.
- Career Management Updates; Tailored to your career profile details. Includes your career review, changes in the job market and salaries, compensation/pay rise reminders, your applied job application status changes and open job applications summary.
- New Jobs Alerts; Stay updated on the job market based on your search preferences and receive new Jobs for Me recommendations.
Available Settings
Here are the settings that you can opt in or out of:
Personal career recommendations; Allow inkscroll team members to contact you with career suggestions and handpicked jobs based on your career profile.
Note: This needs to be set to opt-in if you bought our Handpick Jobs career service package!
Automate job matching checks; Know how strongly you match to a job opportunity by allowing us to run the checks for you automatically.
Where to go to change settings and notifications
- Click on your Profile icon and select My Account
- On the My Account page, in the Settings and Notifications section, click on Change settings and notifications and choose to check or uncheck the options as presented.
- Click on Update to save your changes
